People used to type a few words into Google. Now they ask a full question: “Who makes good brand videos in Denver?” AI tools answer by finding sites that already answer that question clearly. Your job is to be one of those sites. That work has a name: GEO (generative engine optimization).

Write from your client’s side

Most websites talk about the company: our history, our process, our values. Your clients have their own questions. What does it cost? How long does it take? Is this right for me? Answer those questions in a clear, direct way. If a client would ask it on a first call, it belongs on your site.

Use questions and answers

FAQs work because they match how people talk to AI. Put the question in the heading. Answer it in the first sentence. Then add the detail. That format makes it easy for AI to find your answer and point people to you.

Your SEO research is your GEO research

The questions people type into Google are the same questions they ask AI. So good SEO (search engine optimization) research does two jobs. It shows which questions your clients are asking, and that tells you what your site needs to answer. This research is part of every site we build.

Build it so AI can read it

AI tools read your site the same way search engines do. A well-built site makes your answers easy to find. A poorly built one can hide them, even when the writing is good. Most of this work happens out of sight, so ask your web team how your site handles it.

The short version

Answer your clients’ real questions, in plain words. Put the question first and the answer right after. Then make sure your site is built so AI can find it.
